Lavender
Lavandula angustifolia
Arovela supplies pure Lavender essential oil distilled from Lavandula angustifolia cultivated at 1,000–1,400 metres on the Isparta plateau of southwestern Anatolia. The continental microclimate — hot, dry summers, cold winters, sharp diurnal temperature swings and calcareous-clay soils — produces one of the world's densest linalool/linalyl-acetate ratios, often compared favourably to Provence and Bulgarian lots. Harvest takes place when flower spikes reach 50–60% bloom, typically late June through mid-July, in the post-dawn window before volatile loss accelerates. Bundled flowers are transferred to the distillery within 24 hours to preserve the freshly cut top-note signature. Steam distillation is performed in AISI 316L stainless vessels over 2.5–3-hour cycles at 100–104 °C, a low-pressure profile that prevents thermal degradation of linalool. Every batch is GC-MS profiled at an accredited third-party laboratory. Typical results: linalool 30–42%, linalyl acetate 35–48%, 1,8-cineole <1.5%, camphor <1%, terpinen-4-ol 2–5%, lavandulol 0.5–2%. The chemotype conforms to ISO 3515:2019 (essential oil of lavender, true) and meets EDQM EP standards for pharmaceutical-grade applications. B2B buyer base spans three segments: luxury cosmetic and skincare formulators (anti-aging serums, night creams, organic cleansers, hair tonics); clinical aromatherapy and phytotherapy houses (anxiolytic blends, massage carriers, natural sleep complements, dermatological balms); and functional food/beverage producers (artisan lavender lemonades, premium chocolate inclusions, botanical gin distilleries, kombucha flavouring). EU exports comply with EC No 1334/2008 flavouring regulation and IFRA standards (Category 4 limits for linalool); US-bound shipments support FDA GRAS documentation and California Prop 65 disclosure when required. Packaging options are tiered to buyer scale: 1 kg amber glass bottles for sample and R&D laboratories; 5 kg internally lacquered aluminium canisters for pilot production; 25 kg AISI 316L stainless drums for bulk industrial use. All containers are nitrogen-flushed and argon-blanketed at fill to extend shelf life beyond 36 months; shipments are classed under UN 3082 for sea and air freight. Incoterms 2020 supported include FOB Izmir, FOB Mersin, CIF and DAP to major EU/US/Asian ports; one 20-foot container accommodates up to 12 metric tonnes of drummed oil, with LCL palletisation available for smaller orders. MOQ from 25 kg; pilot samples 100 g–1 kg supplied free or at nominal cost against bona-fide enquiries. Every shipment travels with COA, MSDS (REACH SDS Annex II compliant), allergen declaration covering linalool/geraniol/limonene, certificate of origin and — on request — Halal, Kosher and Organic (NOP/EU 2018/848) certifications. Contract cultivation, private-label filling and custom-chemotype distillation (high linalyl-acetate or low-camphor profiles) are available against annual commitments above 200 kg.
